Proceed With Caution
I saw the caution signs, the yellow light told me to slow down but I stepped on the gas a little harder, making it just in time before the red-light flashes Stop. I remain driven and proceed with caution, only to find out there’s road blocks up ahead. Shortcuts led to construction and detour led to dead end.
The drive to continue was no longer there. I eventually ran out of fuel and became in rage on the inside, but the exterior was so clean, no one knew I was damaged. And although I felt like such a wreck, broken but repairable I told myself.
In this dark world there’s stars and head lights to light our path. But in my world, I’m the light. I will honk if I need to, run the obstacles over if I must. I will make myself noticeable, because traffic doesn’t, stand still for long. I will shine through and find my way. What’s done is now in the past a lost cause, but I’m my own GPS, I will find my way. Through the pain, through the hurt I remain driven.
Whatever the road block, stay motivated! It’s not going to be easy, but if you remain driven success will come knocking.
